At a first glance when I received this photograph, I was eager to congratulate Simon on the success of his Nan’s knee replacement operation...
Turns out that it wasn’t a medical procedure but a Volvo Penta SX-M duo prop which had been brought to us with damaged bellows.
The unhappy bellows had allowed water into the drive via the engine bay. Looks like a Gimbal bearing will also need Simons attention.
Knees, bellows, it’s all much a muchness, easy mistake.
