ECU Misreading Voltage on Volvo Penta D9-575 Engines

Miss Marple was busy making jam today so we sent Simon to solve this one.
Brundall Windmill Marina in Norfolk was the scene of a mysterious wiring issue on a pair of Volvo Penta D9-575 engines housed inside a 50ft Sealine.
After unleashing the laptop from his bicycle basket Simon adjusted his straw hat and plugged it into the system. A very thorough search of the wiring was undertaken to solve the electrical puzzle.
Seems the over charging issue was due to the ECU misreading the voltages. ECU reflash and configuration resulted in a very happy ending.
