MerCruiser 4.3 Litre Outboard Engine With Alpha One Gen 2

The agility of marine engineers has been well documented throughout history, time and space.

Shape shifting bodies to fit engine bays, Elastigirl like limbs to reach the most inaccessible nooks and crannies. The sheer determination and strength to balance on one toe of work worn, steel caped boots with a spanner in one hand and a fuel filter in the another...there’s that or they just sprawl out on the hard ground, like they’ve conveniently fainted under a random outboard, as in this case.

This MerCruiser 4.3 litre engine with an Alpha One Gen 2, had a leg full of emulsified oil, damaged bearings, shims and oil seals, which were all replaced by Ross.

He reinstalled the drive, replaced the damaged parts along with a fitting a new propeller. To complete this job, he fitted a new tilt switch in the control head.

Get off the floor Ross or you’ll get Chin cough. My Grandma was never wrong in her diagnosis.
