MerCruiser 4.3 V6 Exhaust Flappers Dropped.

One of our customers based at Fox’s Marina Ipswich with a Bayliner Bowrider speedboat, complained of a peculiar noise coming from their 4.3 V6 MerCruiser inboard engine.
Over time the exhaust flappers had dropped internally a factor possibly attributed to overheating and this in turn caused something reminiscent of a BBQ I’d been to over the summer.

Simon recommended a few new gaskets and some chilli sauce.
