James French our IT expert here at French Marine Motors was in his element as he got the chance to install Volvo Penta’s Easy Connect
to a Volvo Penta V8-300 gas engine.
Once the interface has been installed in your boat all you have to do is download the app onto a smart phone or tablet and the interface magically transmits the information via Bluetooth.
You can even transform your smart device into a portable dashboard display like Doctor who in his Tardis, then go home and relive your adventures with a coffee and a biscuit.
Fear not if you’ve an older engine, Volvo Penta have that covered making the Easy Connect compatible with a wide range of their engines from 2003 and later.
I get the feeling James will be installing quite a few of these!
