Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival

As you ascend the hill into Brightlingsea you are confronted by the historic and imposing All Saints’ Church.
Since 2003 it has been home to the famous Christmas tree festival run by 300 dedicated volunteers. Over this time the festival has raised £120,000 towards the upkeep of All Saints’ Church and St James’ Church.
This year French Marine Motors have entered our very own tree made from a host of different propellers and various other bits and bobs. We have randomly named our brutalist Christmas Tree ‘Sleigh Drive’ to add Weight to its dramatic presence, pardon the pun.
Built by Pete and Ross, it’s a very unique, sculpturally eclectic creation and we are very proud of it indeed. Pop along to see it this weekend the 8th and 9th of December and vote for our tree!
No we haven’t gone mad.
